Ups and down of a social start up

01.09.2013

Lots of things happened the last days.

First of all Julie joined C@rma to support me with the IT development. This is really great. Not only has she has brought a lot of technical added value but she also obliges me to focus, to concentrate on what I am doing (no more phone, email, etc.). It is quite amazing to see how I could be so focus when working as an employee and so distracted when working from home. So many opportunities to do something else than working. For example, I started online classes: business ones on Coursera (Creativity, Innovation and Change) and more technical ones on Lynda (basic of Search Engine Optimization)...very interesting but also very time-consuming, especially when you start exchanging with fellow students like most of the classes require.

The second big event was the selection for the finals of the webit congress (http://webitcongress.com/en/2013/startup-semi-finalists.html). I still cant believe it; but now the race is starting. On the 6th of November, we will have the opportunity to present our project to an audience of potentially 8.000 visitors; waw..this is great in terms of visibility but we need to be ready with the famous "Minimum Viable Product". We will need some volunteers to test the platform. If you are interested, please leave your contact details in the Join Us form (http://www.4carma.com/index.php/join-us).

We also started 3 of our 4 skill-based volunteer opportunities..but this will be for the next blog...

Have an excellent day
