Mission & Activities
The National Volunteerism Committee (UGK) is a strategic advisory body that promotes recognition, empowerment and dissemination of volunteerism. It was established in May 2013.
It is an organization that adopts the principle of supporting cooperation by bringing together the actors in the field of volunteering in the direction of a common aim such as the recognition of volunteering. For the members of the organization see below.
The National Volunteering Committee works to achieve the following objectives:
- To contribute to increasing voluntary participation and spreading volunteerism in every part of society.
- To contribute to the creation of policies to support volunteering and to the improvement of the legal framework.
- To contribute to increase the visibility, social awareness and support of volunteering.
- To contribute to improving the working conditions of volunteers in line with the rights of volunteers.
- To contribute to increasing the volunteer working capacities of actors in the field of volunteering.
- To contribute to the development of communication and cooperation between sectors in the field of volunteering.
- To encourage data collection, research, publication, and co-operation of different stakeholders in the field of volunteerism.
