Karakutu is an association, that combines memory and youth studies, and aims to contribute to young people's critical thinking skills on history by developing innovative informal educational tools.
Karakutu works to learn lessons from the past. We believe that remembering the past plays an essential role in justice and peace. We try to raise voices of the alternative narratives that were suppressed by official history and to introduce different perspectives about the past to society, especially to youth.Website: http://www.karakutu.org.tr/en/
Yenidedenbiz : Türkiye'de kadın istihdamına katkıda bulunmak üzere başlatılan bir sosyal girişim. Farklı sebeplerle, bir süredir iş hayatının dışında kalmış, ancak iş hayatına dönmek isteyen, iyi eğitimli ve deneyimli kadınları iş hayatına tekrar ısındırmak ve alternatif iş olanakları ile buluşturmak üzere yola çıktıklari gönüllü bir platform. Orta vadede bir ‘işe geri dönüş methodolojisi’ oluşturmayı, esnek çalışma modelleri ve özel istihdam ihtiyaçları alanında fikir önderliği ile bilinen bir sosyal girisim olmayi hedefliyorlar. 'Yine yeni yeniden iş’ demeye karar vermiş adayları, destek olmak isteyen kişi ve kurumları daha eşitlikçi bir iş dünyası için çalışmaya davet ediyorlar.
Connect One Thread aims to inspire a global mindset through clothing designed by international designers and produced locally in Turkey with organic cotton. COT supports organic producers by connecting them with independent designers, and helps designers find markets around the world. Through the COT website, people will be able to find unique, eco-friendly, and transparent clothing.
‘Herkes İçin Mimarlık’ (Architecture for All) is a non-profit organization based in Istanbul that provides democratic and collaborative design processes between government representatives, various professionals, and citizens. The organization engages with the economic, political and social dynamics of the places where it works and aims to create sustainable communities through implementation of its designs. HiM is a multi-disciplinary platform that re-imagines the structure and scope of architectural processes. It focuses on creative ways to raise awareness about social challenges and mobilize communities in the pursuit of a social change.
