Mission & Activities
Eşya Kütüphanesi (Library of Stuff) is a sharing platform to borrow and lend objects from your neighbours and friends. Our ultimate goal is to change the buying behaviour via collaborative consumption. Instead of buying something that you will only use one time, you borrow it.
We started our social business two years ago after winning the Startup Weekend Istanbul. We then incorporated as a company (no social enterprise status in Turkey) in April 2014, after getting the techno startup support of the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology.
At this stage, we have around 1800 users and 300 listed items (books, camping equipment, musical instruments, etc.) to share.

Source of funds
We have received funding from Ministry of science, Industry and Technology. For the rest we are relying on our own equity and skills.
In the future, we are planning to generate revenues by establishing physical libraries; it is still in discussion. If you have some ideas, let us know!
